At UNE Online students are our top priority, and their success is what drives each and every one of us to do what we do. We’d like to share a little bit about the people that are dedicated to making that happen every day.

What do you do at UNE Online?

I’m an Enrollment Counselor for the Graduate Programs for Public Health. I am the first point of contact for a potential student, and I answer any questions they may have about the program or application process. We work together until the application is complete and they transition from applicant to student.

Where are you from?

I went to high school in Exeter, New Hampshire. I spent a lot of time in the winter skiing at Loon Mountain and my summers were spent on Little Kennebago Lake in Maine.

What’s your favorite dessert?

Lately, I’ve been taking full advantage of the delivery services in Portland. My household must be Roseanna’s Homemade Ice Cream’s #1 customer. Find her on Facebook, you won’t regret it.Kat Davis Enrollment Counselor for Applied Nutrition

What’s the best professional advice you’ve received?

My grandfather used to always tell me that his generation needed to know a lot about a little and that my generation needs to know a little about a lot.

What’s the latest lesson you’ve learned?

Probably not the latest lesson but the most important; change can be a good thing.

What’s your favorite part of what you do here?

I love a good conversation. It’s inspiring to get to work with students who are dedicated and following their dreams!

If you could eat one thing for the rest of your life what would it be?

Hands down, soup. I could pho sure have it for every meal. It is my favorite comfort food especially this time of year!

What’s your favorite emoji?

I tend to end conversations with the saxophone and the caterpillar emoji. I really can’t explain why, I just do!

What’s your motto?

If you’re not laughing then you’re doing it wrong.

What’s your ideal Sunday?

Whether it’s relaxing at my family camp on Little Kennebago Lake or skiing with my fiancé, my ideal Sunday would be doing anything in the mountains.

What’s your favorite thing about living in Maine?

I am most grateful for living by the ocean but also being within a quick drive to the mountains – it’s the best of both worlds! I spent some time living in Colorado before moving to Maine and I never thought I would appreciate living near the ocean as much as I do!
