Virtual Poverty Institute

We are excited to announce that UNE Online will partner with Communications Across Barriers to bring you an intensive two-day virtual Poverty Institute, as well as a two-day Poverty Coaching Institute, March 20-23.

Taking part in an event like this gives those involved the opportunity to learn how to implement poverty-informed practices that result in improved outcomes for our community members. It will also give others the tools to conduct ongoing professional development check-ins, run workshops, and engage in conversations that can increase poverty competencies throughout organizations.

Spring 2023 Beegle Poverty Immersion Institute (Virtual March 20-21)

Communication Across Barriers – in partnership with the University of New England’s College of Professional Studies – invites you to join an intensive two-day Poverty Institute that provides a grounded understanding of poverty and what you can do to more successfully assist people in moving out – and staying out – of poverty. This institute is designed for professionals in fields such as justice, education, health, social service, faith-based and community-based organizations.

Poverty Immersion Institute Information and Registration

Spring 2023 Beegle Certified Coaching Institute (Virtual March 22-23)

Learn to take what you’ve learned from the Beegle Poverty Immersion Institute and transform your organization. This intensive two-day Beegle Certified Coaching Institute will prepare you for breaking barriers in your organization. Participants will learn how to serve as on-site experts for educating colleagues, providing leadership for eliminating obstacles, and developing system-wide approaches for improving outcomes for families and individuals.

Poverty Coaches are trained to conduct Poverty Competency Assessments and assist their organizations in developing and implementing customized action plans with measurable results.
