Healthy Sexuality As a Critical Lens for All Youth-Facing Professionals

Sexuality is a fundamental part of the human experience, and that includes youth. It is also one of the most taboo and challenging topics in our culture, often unaddressed in professional trainings. This can create uncertainty and/or discomfort in not only talking in a productive way about sexuality and sexual health, but setting a tone within the educational context that supports the development of healthy sexuality. Jennifer, a clinical social worker and certified Sex Therapist and Kendra, a Registered Nurse and school-based sexuality educator, will help you better understand the intersection of sexuality and youth development and the responsibilities we all have to be able to fully support youth. You will gain knowledge to better understand what an environment that fosters healthy sexuality looks like, practice communication skills and engage in exercises and role plays with time for Q/A
