Articulation Agreements

UNE Online’s Pre-Health Program maintains agreements with health professions programs at UNE and at partner institutions. These agreements give our students a defined pathway into graduate study: depending on the program, that means facilitated admission consideration, priority review of a completed application, or a guaranteed interview.

A few things to understand before you rely on one of these:

  • None of these agreements guarantee admission. A guaranteed interview means you’ll be interviewed if you meet the criteria; facilitated admission means your application receives priority review. In both cases you still compete on the strength of your full application.
  • Guaranteed interviews may be limited. Some agreements cap the number of students accepted each year or depend on interview slots remaining in the cycle. Applying early matters.
  • Eligibility criteria vary by program. Most require a minimum GPA in your Pre-Health coursework, a minimum number of PBPH or MBS credits completed, and satisfaction of every standard application requirement for that program.
  • Some agreements have deadlines that fall well before the application deadline, and at least one requires you to notify us of your intent to use it. These steps cannot be applied retroactively.
  • Some agreements restrict what else you can apply to during the same admissions cycle.

Review the specific agreement below carefully, and talk with your advisor early — ideally a full cycle before you plan to apply.

Applies to: UNE Online Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Health (PBPH) and Master of Biomedical Science (MBS) students

Academic Eligibility

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher in UNE Online Pre-Health coursework
  • BCP (biology, chemistry, physics) GPA of 3.0 or higher on the CASPA application
  • PBPH students: 24 credits completed
  • MBS students: the 30-credit MBS degree conferred

Other requirements

  • You may apply to only one UNE professional health program in the cycle in which you use this agreement.
  • Fulfill all other Physician Assistant program requirements, including a complete application, recommendation letters, and any additional assessments or interviews required by the program

Academic eligibility

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher in UNE Online Pre-Health Program coursework (PBPH or MBS), with a B or higher in every course
  • 18 credits completed in the PBPH program, or 20 credits in the MBS degree, before applying
  • CCRN certification

Clinical experience requirement

  • Minimum 18 months as a registered nurse in an intensive care unit (ICU) in the United States, a U.S. territory, or a U.S. military hospital abroad

Application requirements and deadlines

  • Submit your completed NursingCAS application by January 15 of the application cycle
  • Notify both the Office of Graduate Admissions (gradadmissions@une.edu) and the Prehealth Advising Team (CPSPrehealthAdvising@une.edu) that you are applying under this agreement
  • You may apply to only one UNE professional health program in the cycle in which you use this agreement. Using it means you cannot also apply to Pharmacy, Physician Assistant, or Dental Medicine.
  • Fulfill all other WCHP-DNP application requirements, including a complete application, recommendation letters, and any additional assessments or interviews required by the program.

What it provides: Guaranteed interview for eligible applicants
Applies to: UNE Online Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Health (PBPH) and Master of Biomedical Science (MBS) students

This agreement guarantees one admission interview to applicants who meet the criteria below, within two years of the date you become eligible. It does not guarantee admission.

Deadlines

  • By June 1: Submit your completed PharmCAS application.

Academic eligibility

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher in UNE Online Pre-Health Program coursework (PBPH or MBS)
  • PBPH students: 18 credits completed
  • MBS students: 20 credits completed

Prerequisite coursework

  • All required science prerequisites must be completed with a grade of C or higher
  • Science coursework must have been taken within the last 10 years

Other requirements

  • Fulfill all other Pharm.D. application requirements, including a complete application, recommendation letters, and any additional assessments or interviews required by the program.

What it provides: Guaranteed interview for eligible applicants

Deadlines

  • By September 1: Reach out to CPSPrehealthAdvising@une.edu or your Pre-Health advisor to let them know you wish to take advantage of the agreement.
  • By September 15: Reach out to UNE Graduate Admissions to inform them you wish to utilize the articulation agreement.
  • By October 1: Take the DAT.

Academic eligibility

  • MBS students: a minimum of 20 credits completed with a 3.4 or higher in the program
  • PBPH students: a minimum of 18 credits completed with a 3.4 or higher
  • All applicants: overall GPA: 2.8 minimum
  • All applicants: BCP (biology, chemistry, physics) GPA: 2.8 minimum

What it provides: Guaranteed interview, subject to availability
Effective: April 1, 2026

This agreement guarantees an interview to qualified students provided interview slots remain available in the cycle — apply early. It does not guarantee admission. UNE and DMU administer their admissions processes separately; the applications are not linked.

Eligibility criteria

  • Science GPA of 3.4 or higher and cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.4 or higher
  • MCAT score of 490 or higher
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Meet all DMU general admission requirements, including technical standards and background check, as published on DMU’s website
  • PBPH students: minimum 18 semester hours completed before enrollment at DMU
  • MBS students: minimum 20 semester hours completed before enrollment at DMU

Degree Requirement

  • You must complete a bachelor’s degree before matriculating into the DPM program.

About the program

DMU’s College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery was the first podiatric medicine school affiliated with an academic health science center, and reports 100% residency placement since 2003.

What it provides: Guaranteed interview — limited to 10 students per year
Applies to: UNE Online Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Health (PBPH) and Master of Biomedical Science (MBS) students

This agreement guarantees an interview to qualified students. It is capped at ten students per year across both programs, so meeting the criteria does not by itself secure a place. It does not guarantee admission.

Eligibility criteria

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher and science GPA of 3.4 or higher
  • Meet all ICOM general admission requirements, including the minimum MCAT score, as published on ICOM’s requirements page at the time you apply
  • Complete all prerequisite courses as published on ICOM’s requirements page at the time you apply
  • UNE Online PBPH students: minimum 18 semester credit hours completed in the program
