Online Learning Experience

Easy to Use Online Learning Platform
All coursework lives in Brightspace, a widely-used online learning platform. You’ll find your materials, assignments, and faculty communication in one place, no hunting around. Before your first class, you’ll receive step-by-step login instructions and access to tech support if you need it. Most students are up and running within minutes.
UNE Online courses are developed through close collaboration between the University’s Instructional Design Services team and faculty experts. This in-house instructional design team is responsible for the design, development, and ongoing support of all UNE Online programs.

Consistent Course Structure
Every course follows the same layout, so you spend your time learning — not figuring out where things are. You’ll always know what’s due, what’s next, and how to find what you need.

Academic Support and Tutoring
The Student Academic Success Center connects you with tutoring and academic support whenever you need a boost. Whether you’re brushing up on writing skills or working through a tough concept, help is there without having to ask twice.

Alignment with Program Outcomes
Every course is built to move you toward a real credential with real-world relevance. What you learn in the classroom connects directly to what you’ll use in your career.
Education Designed for Busy Lives
UNE Online degrees are designed for people who can’t put everything on hold — working professionals, parents, and career-changers who need flexibility without sacrificing quality. No campus visits. No fixed class times. Just rigorous, accredited coursework on your schedule.
You log in when it works for you — early mornings, lunch breaks, after the kids are in bed. Coursework is structured so you always know what’s expected, and you’ll interact with faculty and classmates in meaningful ways, even without a physical classroom.
You control your schedule
No required login times. Access lectures, readings, and discussions whenever you have a window — week by week at your own pace.
You won’t go it alone
Every student has a dedicated Enrollment & Retention Counselor, plus access to tutoring support and, in some programs, a faculty or pre-health advisor.
Same degree, same standing
Your UNE Online credits carry the same academic weight as on-campus credits, and the same diploma.
UNE Online’s Student Support Model
UNE Online pairs rigorous coursework with a coordinated support structure designed for adult learners.
- Each student is assigned an Enrollment & Retention Counselor who serves as a primary point of contact throughout the program
- Support is available for questions related to registration, program requirements, course access, and University processes
- Depending on the program, students may also have access to a faculty advisor or pre-health advisor
This model is designed to provide continuity, clarity, and support from enrollment through completion.
