Intimate partner violence is a complex and pervasive issue affecting individuals and families across all backgrounds. Coursework reviews Certified Batterer Intervention Programs, examines approaches that are not recommended when violence or coercive control is present, and addresses ethical challenges professionals may encounter in IPV-related work. The curriculum also explores IPV within LGBTQ+ communities, including systemic barriers to help-seeking, discriminatory legislation, and best practices for safety planning.
