UNE Online’s Leadership Series offering is comprised of 4 topics where participants can choose to take any of the offerings. By completing this certificate, participants will be well-equipped to navigate the complexities of leadership and communication in today’s professional world, driving both personal and organizational success.
Topic 1: Navigating Crucial and Difficult Conversations (4 weeks)
We are all confronted with having to have crucial and difficult conversations. That statement is particularly true in the workplace and for those who hold leadership positions. Some leaders avoid the conversations, which causes issues to fester and become worse and more difficult over time. Effective leaders learn how to have crucial and difficult conversations in a timely manner, and with an approach that is based upon mutual trust and honesty, avoid passing judgement, actively listen, and speak in specifics.

You will be assessed on your comprehension of course material via quizzes and application of new concepts and skills when you complete assignments. You must submit all the assignments as defined in the course and grading rubrics in order to receive a Certificate of Completion.
