Post-Master’s Professional Education in Inclusion Education
Enhance your teaching skills with a post-master’s education from UNE
The concentration in Inclusion Education is a 15-credit online program for teachers and administrators who wish to build their inclusion specialist background with respect to inclusion practices and concerns.
This unique concentration explores methods and strategies for teaching all students in inclusion settings, with a special course on the range and use of assistive technologies. Furthermore, participants will review formal and informal procedures for assessing special needs students and utilizing the results to inform and plan instruction. Finally, the concentration teaches the ability to apply special education law to different settings and includes a practicum to integrate inclusive education learning.
This program provides a flexible option for educators who wish to remain in their classrooms, so that they can immediately apply the new strategies and assessments to their students’ lessons and gauge the effectiveness.
This program does not lead to a special education certification. More coursework is also required to receive your Inclusion Specialist certification.
