Preparing future healthcare professionals

From its College of Osteopathic Medicine and Westbrook College of Health Professions to its recently established College of Pharmacy and College of Dental Medicine, UNE is recognized as a leading educator of healthcare professionals. It is one of a handful of private universities with a comprehensive health education mission including medicine, pharmacy, dental medicine, nursing and an array of allied health professions. UNE’s interprofessional education initiatives prepare future healthcare professionals to practice comprehensive and collaborative team-based care.

Comprehensive liberal arts education

In addition, UNE offers a comprehensive liberal arts education, with more than 30 undergraduate majors in its College of Arts & Sciences, such as environmental science, marine science, English, history, business, communication and education.

We create knowledge

All UNE students engage in research and scholarship alongside dedicated faculty who are committed to their academic and professional success. Our academic programs ensure that students have plenty of opportunities for extensive fieldwork, clinical experiences, research, internships and global experiences at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Three physical campuses, online worldwide

UNE’s Biddeford Campus is located on a beautiful oceanfront site where the Saco River flows into the Atlantic Ocean. The Portland Campus is just 20 minutes north, and designated as a national historic district. The campus is quintessential New England, with a central green surrounded by classic brick buildings. The Morocco campus is our newest edition, and provides UNE students an opportunity to study abroad while staying on track with their majors. And of course our accredited College of Graduate and Professional Studies is online, worldwide. More about the UNE Campuses.
