Thank you for your interest in our virtual symposium. We can’t wait to learn together! Here are some answers to questions you might have:

What is the application process?
The parameters for proposals are listed here. The online application is available here and submissions will close on March 9, 2025. Once submitted, the program review committee will review the application and contact applicants whose proposals have been accepted or not accepted.

What type of communication will I receive if my proposal is accepted?
Applicants whose proposal is accepted will receive an email from the committee informing them that their proposal has been accepted. These individuals will be asked to accept or decline their participation in the symposium by March 28, 2025, to confirm their assigned time, and submit their presentation by April 18, 2025 along with a professional bio (not exceeding 250 words) and a presentation description (not exceeding 100 words).

What type of communication will I receive if my proposal is not accepted?
Applicants whose proposal is not accepted will receive an email notifying them of the committee decision. Applicants may contact the committee to discuss how they can craft a stronger proposal in the future.

Will there be an opportunity to resubmit my proposal if it is not accepted?
Applicants whose proposals are not accepted may not resubmit their proposal. However, the committee will keep a waiting list for proposals that are not initially selected. Waitlist acceptances will be made by March 31, 2025.

Will I receive a confirmation email once my proposal is accepted?
Yes, all proposals that are submitted through the portal will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please email Anne Harrington at virtualresearch@une.edu asking for a confirmation of receipt of the proposal.

What if I miss the proposal submission deadline?
