In celebration and support of International Volunteer Day on December 5th, we are thrilled to announce our 7th Annual Volunteer Week, which will take place December 4th-8th. For those who may not be familiar with this impactful initiative, our Graduate Programs in Public Health team uses this week to focus on giving back in an effort to inspire and encourage our students and community to do the same.
Our GPPH team has already started collecting goods for Food For All Services in Portland, Maine and will continue to do so until Friday, December 15th. Following the collection period and in celebration of International Volunteer Day we will be dropping off the donated goods at Food For All Services. Local students are welcome and encouraged to join! Please email gpph@une.edu if you’re interested.
From December 4th through the 15th share a photo of your volunteer experiences with us on social media and use the hashtag #UNEONLINEGIVESBACK
If you’re a current student working toward earning your service cord, Volunteer Week is a great way to continue your journey. All GPPH students who have completed a minimum of 100 hours of service while enrolled in their program can earn a service cord!
There are so many ways to give back so get creative this year and share your volunteer experience with GPPH.
